Week of Prayer Day 2

Hi everyone! Anne here 🙂

The Scripture on my heart today is Matthew 21:21-22 (NIV):

"21 Jesus replied, 'Truly I tell you, if you have faith and do not doubt, not only can you do what was done to the fig tree, but also you can say to this mountain, "Go, throw yourself into the sea," and it will be done. 22 If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer.'"

This passage reminds us that faith unlocks great authority for us as believers! Jesus teaches that with unwavering faith, we can speak to our circumstances, and they will change. It’s a powerful call to trust deeply in God’s promises and His power.

Notice how Jesus says “if you believe.” The “if” is key—it’s conditional. It’s an invitation to grow in trust and embrace a faith that is steady and strong. Our faith grows strong when we are closely connected to God, allowing His thoughts and desires to guide us. This close relationship helps us align our prayers with His will.

So today, let’s immerse ourselves in God’s Word, deepen our relationship with Him, and stand firm in our faith. Remember, no matter how challenging the situation, God is always listening and ready to act!

The song "Easy" by Elevation Worship beautifully captures this truth:

“When You say, 'Mountains, move,' they do, they do. When You speak to the sea, it breaks in two. What I call impossible is easy for You, Lord. What's a wall to a Waymaker? What's a chain to a Chainbreaker? What's a grave to a God who's greater?" (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sa93t5kmoUQ)

These lyrics remind us that what seems impossible to us is easy for God. He is our Waymaker, Chainbreaker, and Stone Roller. No obstacle is too great for Him!

Today, I encourage you to speak faith over your circumstances with confidence. Remember, with God, nothing is beyond reach. 🌿

Let’s pray together:

“Lord Jesus, we thank You for Your amazing power available for us and for being with us in every situation. Help us to trust You more deeply and to align our prayers with Your will. Strengthen our faith so that we can speak to our mountains and see them move by Your power. With You, nothing is impossible. We trust in Your greatness and we rest in confidence that we will see Your miracles in our lives. In Jesus’ name, Amen.”

Blessings,

Anne
